Description of process

Technological process of automatic and semi-automatic welding at which welding of a root of a seam is carried out by a continuous wire on process of STT in the environment of protective gas, and the filling and facing layers — a gas-protective powder wire by means of external automatic heads of M300

The head of M300 is effective when welding in all spatial provisions a wire of continuous section or a powder wire in the environment of protective gas with use of sources of welding current of DC- 400

Universality of this head such is that welding can be made also on narrow cutting of edges and on factory cutting. Reliability of a head of M300 allows to achieve rhythm of works and to precisely predict terms of their end. Convenience of operation — welding procedure by this head easily accustoms and considerably reduces load of the operator.

Welding heads move on the directing belt from the spring steel which passed heat treatment by thickness 2,3mm and 120 mm wide, covering a pipe on a circle. The belt is fixed on a pipe after processing of a new edge, before welding of a joint. Usually the belt is placed at distance the 95-159th from edge of a pipe, and the accuracy of its installation on a circle is provided with a special template. Welding machines are used by couples. Existence is right and left-sided models provides simultaneous welding with two heads with use of one directing belt. Each device carries out welding of a half of a seam from the provision of 12 hours to the provision of 6 hours — in the directions on and counterclockwise respectively.

Devices for welding filling and facing layers start at the same time, however, launching sites change serially for each layer for the purpose of prevention of overlapping of starting and final points in vertical position.

Each welding machine for orbital welding includes three components:

- the carriage for movement on the directing belt;

- distributive box of food, set of connecting cables;

- welding section.

The carriage consists of the hinged basis regulated under the concrete diameter of a pipe, the 24kh-volt motor with a reducer and the eccentric tightening mechanism for installation of the device on a belt. Besides, are available three channeled conducted wheels and one wheel with a notch moving on edge of a belt and set in motion by the motor.

Features:

  • Welding of a pipe is made on standard factory cutting. The edge repoint on the machine of preparation of edges of PFM is not required.

  • Assembly of a joint is made on a standard internal hydraulic or pneumatic centralizer.

  • Root pass is carried out on an open gap ~ 2 mm outside of a pipe in the semi-automatic mode on the STT Lincoln Electric technology.

Welding by method "STT-II" + "M300C"

Description of process of "STT-II":

Technological process of semi-automatic welding at which welding of a root of a seam is carried out by a wire on process of "STT" in the environment of protective gas.

Process of "STT" is the innovative method of welding based on transfer of metal at the expense of forces of a superficial tension.

(Lincoln Elektrik) developed by the Lincoln Electric company process of "STT" is the perspective concept of technology of the welding using the high-speed adaptive scheme of management epyury welding current (Waveform Control Technology™).

Advantages of welding process of "STT":

  • the size of welding current is regulated automatically
    depending on requirements of a welding arch;

  • time of reaction of system for the changes happening
    in a welding bathtub, makes units of microseconds;

  • parameters of an arch are optimized in each timepoint during all process of education and transfer of each drop of the melted metal from an electrode in a welding bathtub.

Precision management of transfer of metal in a zone of the welding made
in the atmosphere of protective gases, provides:

  • the guaranteed pro-melting;

  • magnificent return roller;

  • high efficiency of a naplavka;

  • minimum spraying;

  • considerable decrease in smoking;

  • lack of welding deformations and prozhog due to deep management of amount of heat entered into a welding bathtub (heatinvestment).
